How to reverse the page order of a PDF
Flip a whole document end to end in a single step.
Feeding a stack into a document feeder face-up when it expects face-down produces a perfectly good scan of a perfectly backwards document. It is one of the most common scanning mistakes there is, and it has a one-click fix.
It also happens without a scanner in sight. Documents assembled from a stack of appendices sometimes come back with the last section first, and some older systems export records newest-first when what you want is a chronological file. In every case the pages themselves are fine — only the sequence is wrong.
The steps
- Upload the document.
- Confirm the preview showing the new first and last pages.
- Run the tool and download the reversed file.
What changes and what does not
Only the order changes. Each page is copied unaltered — same content, same rotation, same quality. Nothing is re-rendered and nothing is re-compressed, so reversing a document costs you nothing in fidelity no matter how many times you do it.
Anything anchored to a specific page travels with that page. Printed page numbers are the one thing to watch: they were stamped into the content, so after a reversal the document will read 12, 11, 10 from the front. Number the document after reversing it, not before.
It is its own undo
Reversing a reversed document restores the original order, so there is no risk in trying it. If the result is not what you expected, run it again on the result.
When you need something more selective
