Questions about Redact Text
Is the text really gone, or just covered?
Genuinely gone. The tool applies true PDF redaction: the underlying text objects are deleted and a black box is drawn in their place. Copying from the redacted area yields nothing.
Can redaction be undone?
No. That is the point. Keep your own copy of the original before redacting, because the downloaded file cannot be reversed.
Will it catch every occurrence?
It removes every occurrence of the exact text you enter on the pages you select. Search the document first to confirm you have found all the variations you care about.
