Privacy Policy
What happens to a file when you upload it, what is kept, and for how long. This describes what the software actually does.
Files are processed on the server
This site does not process PDFs in your browser. When you use a tool, the file is uploaded to our server, the operation runs there, and the result is written as a new file which you then download. Any claim you may read elsewhere that this kind of site works "entirely offline" does not apply here, and we will not make it.
Your original is never modified
Every operation writes a new output file. The file you uploaded is left exactly as it arrived, so a mistake in your options costs you a re-run and nothing else.
How files are stored
Uploads and results are stored under randomly generated identifiers, not under the name you gave them. Your filename is kept in a small separate record so that downloads come back with a name you recognise. This means your filenames never touch the filesystem and cannot be used to reach outside the storage directory.
How long files are kept
A housekeeping process runs periodically and deletes uploads and results older than 2 hours. That is the retention period for anonymous use: nothing you upload survives it.
There is no exception to that. There are no accounts, so nothing is copied anywhere else and no version of your file outlives the cleanup.
Passwords
Passwords you type for encrypting, decrypting or opening a protected document are sent in the body of the request, held in memory for as long as the operation takes, and then discarded. They are never written to log files, never placed in a URL or query string, and never included in analytics. We cannot recover a password for you, because we do not have it.
What is logged
The server records the requests it serves — method, path and response status — along with file identifiers, file sizes and how long each job took. It does not log the contents of your documents, the text you search for or replace, or any password.
Accounts
There are none. The site has no sign-in, stores no email addresses, and keeps no record of who uploaded what.
Advertising and analytics
This deployment currently loads no advertising and no third-party analytics. Nothing on these pages sends your browsing to an advertising network. If that changes, this page and the Cookie Policy will change with it.
Sensitive documents
Because processing happens on a server, treat these tools the way you would treat any hosted service. If a document is subject to a confidentiality obligation that forbids third-party processing, do not upload it here.
